Oil And Other Markets Get Increasingly Nervous Over Egyptian Crisis

Anyone watching oil prices this week could be forgiven if they thought Egypt is a major oil producer. As the crowds of protesters in Cairo grew from thousands, to tens of thousands, to hundreds of thousands, the price of oil shot upward. The price of benchmark Brent crude oil this week surged to $100, up 5 percent since the beginning of last week, when violence spread from Tunisia to Egypt. It's the first time oil has gone that high in two years.

The 2011 SAG Award Winners

The Screen Actor Guild Awards were held last night, and though I only watched the last half half hour (and Mark Wahlberg’s insufferable narcissism), the awkwardness of Giuliana Rancic’s interviewing style seeped through Twitter (I had heretofore never heard of this woman, but now understand that she’s Bill Rancic’s wife, which is a particularly sad kind of celebrity, being the spouse of a reality contestant on a fourth-rate reality show). Also, it is my understanding that the “Glee” cast briefly parted the red carpet and allowed a real woman to walk through. It looked something like this:

Is Whitney Houston Pregnant?

Is Whitney Houston pregnant? Can she be? The singer sparked pregnancy rumors this weekend after pictures of her sporting a "baby bump" at a recent concert surfaced. The photos show Houston slightly heavier than what we've come accustomed too. The irony of course being that when she was extremely skinny, Houston was rumored to be on crack cocaine, and now, presumably at a more healthy weight, the rumors are she's pregnant. Despite the photo evidence, the chances of Houston being pregnant are slim. She is 47, making natural conception very unlikely.
